Up On the Sun
Le Horror and a few other tape labels in the Valley got written up in the Phoenix New Times.
Le Horror and a few other tape labels in the Valley got written up in the Phoenix New Times.
Phoenix has a history of clinging tightly to it’s backyard/living room/basement shows, and it should - such places are hidden treasures in the desert. Often they are chaotic in an exciting way, but there are always people behind them with inspiring visions. People who are creative and want to…
Mainly as a formality, for those of you who feel the need to “Like” things. So you know, go do that.
Also we have a new tape coming out soon by Arcsin(100), a solo project by Jeff Lownsbury of Small Group and Strikingly City. It’s currently available for download here, but the real thing will feature all kinds of COOL BONUS STUFF, like probably a zine.
…to a west coast city near you.

Sungsang - Nina Bobok by lehorrorrecords
And another thing:
Le Horror’s first-ever vinyl release is already on its way to the presses! Sungsang is a gamelan ensemble from Tempe/Phoenix, so to all of you locals who haven’t seen them play live: GET ON IT. For those unfortunate souls not currently living in the area, Sungsang is planning a summer tour so keep your ear to the ground about that one. The record itself is a 12” work of genius. Songs run the gambit from wacky melodies to beautiful soundscape lullabies, one of the most unique records to come out of this part of the country (or anywhere). Seriously guys, I can’t stress enough: this is going to be REALLY REALLY special.
Co-released with Ascetic House.
Barren Nieces - Ghost by lehorrorrecords
As you might’ve guessed from the previous post, the release of the Barren Nieces cassette is upon us! We at Le Horror have graciously decided to let you in on a sample track from said tape, for your listening pleasure. Don’t be fooled, Barren Nieces is not some new Phil Elverum secret side project that you haven’t heard of yet. Although it could be.
The Barren Nieces cassette release jam party show event. Just one of many exciting things to come. More soon.
